Huangshan

Huangshan

China's most iconic mountain — famous for sea of clouds, oddly-shaped pines, and granite peaks.

Huangshan (黄山), literally "Yellow Mountain," is one of China's most celebrated scenic destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990. Known as the "No. 1 Mountain of China," it towers at 1,864 meters above sea level in Anhui Province.

The mountain is world-famous for its sea of clouds (云海), oddly-shaped pines (奇松), granite peaks (怪石), and hot springs. The interplay of these four wonders creates an ethereal landscape that has inspired Chinese painters and poets for centuries.

Key attractions include Beihai (North Sea), 光明顶 (Bright Summit), 迎客松 (Guest-Greeting Pine), and the spectacular 丹霞峰 (Danxia Peak). The best time to visit is from April to November, with autumn offering the most dramatic colors.
